Insect Gutloading
Definition: Gut loading is the process by which an animal's prey is raised and fed nutritious foods with the intention of passing those nutrients to the animal for which the prey is intended. Your Feeder Insects should be properly Gutloaded at least 24-48 hours before being fed to your animals.

GeckoLand Bug Bites In early 2007, hundreds of hours were spent in research to produce a high quality Gutloading system that is now available for purchase from GeckoLand. It all started when people owning insect-eating geckos (previous customers or not) started to notice the quality and coloration of our animals. We explained how to get the best out of the food we feed to our geckos by the way we gutload our feeder insects. This brought in a new wave of people wanting to purchase what we use ourselves. Now that it is available (at more than competitive prices to boot) and in constant production for all your insect gutloading needs!!! Our Insect Gutload Mix contains all the 8 essential amino acids, high levels of calcium and bee pollen, which is nature’s most complete food. This product is used by us on a regular basis when gut loading all of our feeder insects such as crickets, mealworms and superworms. Use is recommended in conjunction with the GeckoLand Bug Bites Hydration Gel.
